Blaze it up ;)
Blazers are a tricky game. Either people fear them, thinking they’re too elegant for everyday wearing...or people wear them too frivolously (see this picture of me my FIRST WEEKEND OF FRESHMAN YEAR wearing a BLAZER to a SOCIAL GATHERING over a FREE T-SHIRT my college gave us?)
Because I’ve learned the HARD way that there are some important things to consider when wearing blazers, I’ve compiled some of my knowledge. You’re welcome.
DO mix and match
DON’T mix and clash
DO make a tailoring choice
DON’T try to pass short pants off as a style choice when it clearly isn’t
DO add a statement piece
DON’T add a statement piece if the blazer IS the statement piece
DO blazers with jeans
DON’T do blazers with leggings….unless you can pull it off like this goddess SOMEHOW did
DO add a casual t-shirt
DON’T assume blazers can only be worn as a full suit in a job interview or at your internship!
