Why pack more than you have to?
Let's be real. When at home you wear the same five shirts and the same pair of jeans week after week after week. Yet somehow on EVERY vacation, you decide you need to bring half your closet. Why is that? I mean, I guess it's because we all want to look good and nothing is worse than getting somewhere and having an outfit in mind ONLY to realize that the piece of clothing you want.... was not packed! However, I'm here to help cut down on your packing woes.
If you're going some place sunny for Spring Break then you're OBVIOUSLY bringing a swimsuit. It doesn't matter if it's a bikini, tankini, or a one piece, you can transform any swimsuit from the pool to an outfit worthy of a night out. Hey, Kim K does it and love her or hate her... she has great style. Following Kim K's lead (and her love of American Apparel) here are just a few ways you can make an American Apparel swimsuit (or any swimsuit) into an entire outfit.
From beach volleyball to brunch
Not many restaurants allow you in if you're not "fully clothed". While some beachfront locations may, I wouldn't 100% expect that to be the truth. Pairing the Nylon Tricot Cropped Tank Top with Denim High-Waist Cuff Shorts and your favorite sandals, instantly takes you from a game of beach volleyball to ready for brunch. Go on, treat yourself to mimosas in the 90s inspired look.
From laying out to late night
You will be spending a LOT of time poolside (or oceanside depending on where you're going). The Nylon Tricot High-Cut One-Piece is a favorite of Kim K herself (although her peach version is sadly no longer available). By wearing it with High Waist Jeans and a pair of high-tops, you're ready for any late night beach club. Take things up a notch by wearing the one-piece with a mini skirt and heels in case the clubs have a dress code.
From going on a boat to girls night out
Resort wear takes on a whole new meaning with the Nylon Tricot One Shoulder One Piece. Spend a day on the sea, lounging in your favorite shades then throw on the Disco Midi Skirt and some strappy heels for a fabulous girls night out. Or pair the suit with some high waisted shorts and slides for an easy casual go-to.
From catching waves to concert
Depending up on where you go for break, it could get a little chilly at night. The Unisex Denim Jacket is the perfect layering piece for the Metallic Halter Sunsuit. Once you've made a splash in the halter, put on The Easy Jeans and either platforms or a pair of high-tops. In just minutes you'll go from surfing the waves to surfing the crowd at a concert.
These are just a few examples on how to elevate your swimsuit into an outfit and cut down on what you're packing. Think of your swimsuit as a bodysuit and you're set! The possibilities are limitless (and it's a great way to give your swimsuit life once the fun in the sun is over).
