11 must-haves for a four star staycation

Sometimes The Best Vacation Is A Staycation

Just because you might not be jetting off for spring break doesn’t mean you can’t have a 4-star vaca. Take yourself on a staycation! Whether you want to explore the places in your town you never go to, party at your favorite spots, or spend some quality time on your couch, there are some must haves needed for a top notch spring break at home.

The Night(s) Out:

Okay, so you might not be going to the bahamas, but that doesn’t mean you can’t party like you are! Midterms are behind you - hallelujah!- and you deserve a break. Plus if you're anything like me, I have a feeling you’ve probably been rocking your sweatpants a little too long. A good going out look from a place like 2020Ave or Necessary Clothing will make it fun to grab your friends and properly celebrate. So smack on some lipstick - Limecrime’s “Beet It” from their “Simply the Best” bundle is a favorite of mine - and have fun! You know you deserve it.

Pamper me Pretty:

This is not just a single product, this is a day to “treat yo self.” Give yourself a spa day on a college student’s budget. Something like the Garnier pore-purifying clay mask from Stock ‘N Go is just the right thing to rejuvenate (possibly after a night out). With a couple key products and a fluffy robe you’ll have a fully customized spa day for less than your average seamless order. All you need is a great insta pic - cucumber slices encouraged - #nofilter.

Retail Boost:

Embrace where you are, snow or shine. Get yourself excited about your staycation, and the best way to do that is by jamming out to the 90’s pop hits station on Apple Music or adding a new addition to your wardrobe. Whether it’s a fresh bikini or an oversized graphic sweater like the “Elsewhere” sweater from Wildfox, pick out something that makes you excited to use it, and enjoy your break, no matter where you are spending it.

The “Getaway:”

If you want to go all out, you can still go on a retreat without a long flight or bus ride. Go to Hotels.com and book yourself a nice room in a different part of town. This option is definitely a bit of a splurge, but a change of scenery, even locally will put you in that spring break state of mind we all look forward to.
