6 Spring Break Money Savers

Spring Break can be expensive, this, we know. We've got three great tips for saving money before hand and three awesome tips for saving money when you're actually there!

1. Count The Pennies

You've heard the saying "every little helps" right? Well, it's true! If you save all your loose change that you might just throw in the car or in your desk drawer in a jar until Spring Break you can cash it in at the bank for notes and you could be surprised how much you acquire!

2. Budget

Prepare a budget whilst you're saving for Spring Break, this is a great way to make sure you've got cash for your vacay. Grab yourself a notebook like this cool Cardboard Journal and note down your outgoings and incomings. If you already have a budget, this is awesome, just take a little extra out of your disposable income each week and pop it aside. You'll also need to create a budget for when you're actually out there. Divide the amount of money you're taking by the number of days. This will make sure you don't overspend and leave yourself with nothing towards the end of the break. ‌

3. Work Hard

If you haven't already, getting a part time job or helping around campus can really pay towards your Spring Break partying!

4. Bulk Buy

As soon as you get to your resort, bulk buy a tonne of water and snacks for your hotel room so you don't have to keep buying single bottles of water on the way home from the beach or nights out. You'll save loads of money this way. Plus, if your hotel room has a mini fridge that you can store things in, invest in some breakfast treats like milk, orange juice and cereal so you don't have to pay out every day at a diner!

5. Keep Safe

One way to save money is not to lose it! You don't want to be stranded without any cash so make sure you keep things safe on your person with a cross body bag or this awesome American Apparel PVC Fanny Pack. Also, don't take all of your money out with you at once, leave some in a safe at your hotel or locked in your car just in case you were to lose it. You'll probably have you wallet on you, so take a spare wallet or pouch such as this cool Small Stars & Stripes one to store your extra money, tickets and passport in. SB-savingmoney2

6. Shop Around

This might take you a night or two to work out but you'll soon find the bars, diners and restaurants where you get the best deals. You don't always have to go to the first place you see if you think it's a little pricey. But, remember to relax and try not to stress about money too much. Be safe and sensible and you'll be all good! ‌
