10 reasons why we're obsessed with 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before'

If you haven’t heard about the Netflix Original film, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, then seriously you must be living under a rock.

Now, if you have watched it then you’ll totally understand why we’re obsessed with this romcom.

WARNING - after reading this you will want to watch the film for yourself, if you haven’t already.

1. Lara Jean is a total cutie patootie!

Aside from her unique and quirky style, Lara Jean is the cutest main character you ever did see. It’s nice seeing the main character isn’t typically unpopular or bullied by the popular squad, she’s just a normal girl who dresses exceptionally well and has a cute vibe about her.

2. The hottie, Peter Kavinsky, do we even need to say anymore...

Ok, even if you haven’t watched the film you must’ve heard of Peter Kavinsky, the next best thing since Troy Bolton.

There’s just something about him that gives him that rough and rugged look as well as being prim and properly groomed, you know? Best of both worlds.

He’s a cutie, keeper for sure.

3. The ‘contract’

Now, without giving too much away about the film, this prop is very significant. Something that Lara Jean refers back to to reassure herself that she’s not falling completely in love with Kavinsky.

As the film goes on and she looks back to the contract it’ll have you screaming at the screen, “JUST TELL HIM, YOU LOVE HIM!!!”

4. Chris, Lara Jean’s bestie (Gen’s cousin)

Christine, aka Chris, Lara Jean’s bestie and the cousin of the villain Gen. Aside from being the bestest best friend, she gives great advice, sticks up for her bestie (as any bestie should) and makes sure Lara Jean never doubts herself.

We all need a Chris in our lives.

5. The love letters

Again, another significant prop(s) from the film. I won’t give away too much, but when you watch the film (and I know you will) you’ll understand why these letters are just the most romantic love letters you’ve ever read.

6. Dr. Dan, the dad

Dr. Dan is serious Dad goals. He tries so hard to make Korean food since his late wife isn’t around to make it, he makes time to bake cupcakes with Kitty so Lara Jean can go to a party, he’s so friendly to Peter and he's just all round GOALZ!

7. Covey sisters bond

Starting with the oldest sister Margot, then Lara Jean and the youngest sister Kitty, they all share such a cute bond and it’s seen early on in the film, their mom passed away, so this makes their bond that much more special.

8. Jenny Han, author of ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’

Before To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before was a film, it was a book written by Jenny Han. Han released two sequels to follow on from this book: P.S. I Still Love You and Forever And Always, Lara Jean.

Let’s hope Netflix come through with films for these books too.

9. The teal love letter box

Lara Jean’s mom gifted her this special box, where she keeps her sacred love letters. It’s the cutest.

10. Lana Condor and Noah Centineo’ relationship off-screen

Much to our despair, Condor and Centineo are not dating in real life (she has a boyfriend she's very much in love with and he is single!!), but they so have an amazing off-screen relationship that’ll make you wish they were.

Condor told Elle Magazine, “I’m so happy that Noah is on this journey with me, and it’s Noah who I have as my partner through all of this because our chemistry is genuine.

“It has been since day one and I’ve never felt chemistry like this ever before with any other actor that I’ve worked with. I think we both know it’s special, and I’m just happy that it’s him that I’m going through all this with.

“We make a really, really good team. It’s been crazy. People truly want us to get married.”
