FAQs

Who can enter our Student Woman of the Year competition?

To enter, you must:

  • Be a UNiDAYS member
  • Be a student
  • Identify as a woman

What is Student Woman of the Year?

We’re all about celebrating tomorrow’s leaders today. So each year we shine the spotlight on our incredible and diverse community of student women.

When does the competition start and end?

Entries open at 09:00 GMT on 8 March 2024 and close at 23:59 GMT 31 March 2024.

When will the winner be announced?

On the week of 29 April 2024. We’ll contact the winner by email beforehand.

What will I win?

Our winner will bag a £10k grant and the opportunity to become a UNiDAYS Brand Ambassador. The two runners-up will win a £1k cash prize each.

What do I have to spend the prize money on?

The £10k grant should go towards growing your project, cause or business and boosting your future.

How can I enter?

Simply submit a 60-second video via the entry form when it opens (don’t be afraid to get creative with it!).

What should I include in my video?

Just let us know

  • How you’re breaking boundaries
  • AND how you’d use the £10k grant.

You’ll be judged on your:

  • Creativity and content
  • Business, cause or idea
  • Achievements so far
  • Visions and plans for the cash grant

Do I need to have lots of followers?

No, anyone can enter—no blue tick needed.

How much does it cost to enter?

It’s completely free!

Why is this competition only open to women?

While we’ve made great progress in the fight for gender equality, there’s still room for improvement. Women entrepreneurs remain significantly underrepresented worldwide. We know this competition won’t solve the problem, but we believe that small acts like this will make a BIG difference in creating a level playing field for all.

Will UNiDAYS use the content I submit?

We’ll have the rights to use the video content submitted as part of this campaign or future related campaigns. But we won’t own any rights to the project, cause, business or idea submitted.

Where can I find the T&Cs?

You can check out the full terms and conditions here.

Can I apply if I’m not in the UK?

No, the competition is only open to UK UNiDAYS members.
