10 Manchester restaurants you need delivered to your front door

Although we’ve given up a lot over the past few weeks, one thing that we don’t have to sacrifice is our love affair with some of our favourite restaurants. With all of the tasty food and none of the fuss of getting dolled up to leave the house, DesignMyNight are filling us in on how we can bag some of Manchester’s top dishes while still abiding by lockdown rules. So whether you’re the type to wait by the door or get a buzz from the beautiful sound that is your doorbell, these are the deliveries that can make self-isolation bearable.

Elnecot

This cool and casual dining spot is making things even more easy-going by allowing you to enjoy their grub from the comfort of your own home. Forget about trying to choose one or two items, you’re best off just ordering a plethora of dishes from their menu of moreish small plates, which dons everything from crispy chicken wings in a spicy sauce, to their epic Disco Cabbage.

Northern Soul

If your lunchtime go-to is a grilled cheese sandwich but you’re struggling to make one that really hits the spot, leave it to Northern Soul to show you how it’s done. Experts in making dairy-lovers drool, they’re meeting our needs with deliverable GIY kits (which FYI stands for ‘Grill It Yourself’...). Each pack comes with all the parts to make two monstrous grilled sandwiches flaunting ham, mustard, pickle and tangy onion relish, and a double portion of their classic mac ‘n’ cheese.

Crazy Pedro’s

Just because restaurants are closed doesn’t mean you have to resort to store-bought pizza. Manchester can still get their hands on the real deal thanks to Crazy Pedro’s dough-liverable NYC-style slices. Living up to the name, these guys aren’t shy when it comes to crowning their giant pizzas with the wildest toppings; think mini hamburgers, fries, blue cheese sauce, fully-loaded nachos and just everything else in between. And if you’re vegan but also happen to prefer your slices on the experimental side, they’ve got a (not) beef chilli pizza with your name on it.

Zouk

As a curry house that you can trust to always come through on quality and unbeatable flavour, we have a feeling Zouk will have their work cut out for them throughout this period of lockdown. Their mahoosive menu is made up of a blend of Indian and Pakistani cuisine, featuring a range of affordable hearty curries, £8 gourmet kebabs made with slow-cooked meats and a whole host of vegetarian sides like falafel and mushroom bhaji.

La Bandera

Authentic Spanish tapas are hard to master from one’s kitchen, lucky for us La Bandera is taking their extensive menu of delicious small plates online. You’ll be spoiled for choice with homemade croquetas, spicy king prawns, chorizo, original recipe meatballs and heaps more. And the particularly ravenous amongst you can opt for steaming platter of paella for two… to yourself (we won’t tell). Add on a dessert and a bottle of wine, and you’ve got yourself a winning weekend on lockdown.

Dive NQ

While Dive NQ was once the place for live music gigs, tasty cocktails and partying ‘til the clock struck 5am, they’ve also got a lot to offer in the food department. They’re doing what they do best and focussing their takeaway menu on Asian street food, which you can trust to be some of the best you’ve ever had. With practically every dish priced under £10, feel free to go wild and grab yourself all of the - in what we feel are - compulsory purchases like the beef brisket bao bun, prawn katsu sushi roll and Kamikaze Wings, drenched in a signature sauce.
