Asian Beer Café, CBD
Located on La Trobe Street in the CBD and with views of The State Library, Asian Beer Café has cheap cocktails, beers and pitchers especially for all of you thirsty students! Open every night of the week until 1am, it’s the perfect pre-party destination to start your night. The place has an awesome outdoor balcony and the vibe is on point. Between 4pm-8pm spirits and mixers are $6 and it’s $5 wines all night. Move onto nearby Carlton Club or The Toff to take the party to the next level.Lounge Kitchen, CBD
Lounge Kitchen is a student’s idea of heaven. Located right in the Centre of the CBD on Swanston Street, you’ll find a laid back student hideout fuelled by awesome tunes and a lot of booze. This place caters heavily to the student crowd with my favorite being $10 Espresso Martini’s on a Friday! If you’re chilling in the city in the day between lectures, Lounge Kitchen also do epic $9 lunches, which aren’t to be missed.Abstract 157, Prahran
We all know happy hour is the best hour of the day. If you’re after a classier start to your night, head to Abstract 157 for the dreamiest of happy hours. There’s wine for $4, beers for $5 and a selection of their delicious cocktails are just $10, bargain! This is the perfect location if you’re South side and wanting a cheap night out on Chapel Street. If you’re going hard, head to Lux nightclub in Prahran or opt for Circus Bar in South Yarra, which is a great venue spread out onto two floors where you can grab a booth with friends, share some drinks and party until the early hours!Curtin House, CBD
Head up to the rooftops and enjoy drinks with an incredible view of the city at Curtin House. Drinks prices are slightly more than other budget friendly bars but head here for one or two before the sun goes down and move onto some of the cities best clubs including Billboard and Ms Collins.U Bar, CBD
If you want a relaxed vibe and feel like putting the heels to bed for the night, head to U Bar for cheap drinks every night of the week and awesome drinks specials including $12 jugs on a Sunday and $5 spirit mixers every day of the week.
