The most important social issue to address globally is improving health inequality through sustainable, long-term preventive policy. Subsequently, this will help to reduce the impacts of climate change. Policies to address community health and climate change are inter-related. Much of good health policy has positive follow-on social and environmental impacts. Similarly, good social and environmental policy has follow-on positive impacts in minimising the effects of climate change. If we focus on preventative health policy at a community level, it will have a ripple effects that are sustainable on both a local and global level for health, social and environmental outcomes.
