Get fit on a student budget

Guys & gals, summer bodies are made in the winter! So here’s our top tips to help get fit on a student budget! Prep Prepping your meals is key, as we all know, abs are made in the kitchen, so the kitchen is a great place to get started! By prepping your meals you know exactly what’s going into them, which is really important! It can also save you a lot of time and pennies! So prepare a batch, chuck them tupperware boxes (these are super handy from Urban Outfitters) and you’re good to go! A great tip is to do one (big) food shop a week, make a shopping list, and stick to it! Remember, failing to prepare is preparing to fail! lydia-article-5 c/o Gym buddies Budding up in the gym is brill! It’s great for motivating each other and keeping exercise fun, and a bit of friendly competition never hurt anyone! Plan Student life is super busy and trying to fit lectures/revision/working/sleeping can be tricky, and so a gym session isn’t always the top of the list, we get that! So try designating a set time for training a few days a week instead of ‘when you feel like it’, cause chances are you won’t! If you’re a morning person try getting up a little earlier before your lectures, or if you’re not a morning person take your kit with you and workout in the evening! Go for a run or a walk, there are some great apps to track your time, distance and calories burned, which is great for tracking progress and keeping motivated!
