Dealing With Exam Stress

Exam season can be a bit of an emotional rollercoaster and there’s nothing worse than feeling completely overwhelmed and stressed out when you’re studying for exams, especially when you know that once it’s over, summer begins! I, personally am an angry person when I get stressed (and a bit of a carb loader).  So I’ve got 5 tips that you might find useful for dealing with the stress of the exams ahead.

1. Healthy Eating

A healthy meal is a healthy mind and eating too many sugary, processed snacks can cause you to crash hard ruining your sleeping patterns and raising your blood pressure.  Not only should you cut the junk food out, but also make sure that you are eating sufficient meals as loss of appetite is very common when feeling stressed or anxious.

2. Organising Yourself

ArticleSize_DealingwithStress I am a lover of lists, it really relaxes me knowing that I have a written structure of my tasks, plus there’s nothing better than being able to cross a task off of your list once it’s been completed (nerd alert!).  Other ways of maintaining a good level of organisation could be making sure that your notes are in the correct order, or making cue cards.

3. Talk To Friends/Family

Regardless of who you talk to, just talking about it takes the pressure off a little.

4. Sleep

On a serious note, keeping yourself well rested is really important in making sure that you don’t get yourself too stressed out, always allow yourself time to switch off and don’t let your revision consume you!

5. Exercise
