1. All the curry

If it's curry that you always crave, then a trip to the delicacies homeland doesn't seem like a bad shout. Experience a whole new way of eating (with your hands) in India, from recommended street stalls to trying your own hand at cooking the local foods at a cooking class. A trip to India will not only open your heart to the world of travelling, but it will also open your taste buds to the wonderful world of delicious spices.

2. The bustle of Delhi

There's no denying, Delhi is renowned for its hustle and bustle, but you won't truly understand the busy city life until you’re standing within it. Transport is quick and easy, from tuk-tuks to taxis you can easily travel from Old Delhi to the metropolis that is New Delhi. Take a trip on the Metro to the ancient ruins at Qutb Minar Complex, or seek some well earned peace at the Jama Masjid, located in the heart of Old Delhi and make sure you enjoy an evening at the sound and light show at The Red Fort, the possibilities are truly endless.

3. Shopping in the Pink City

If shopping's on your travel itinerary, Jaipur is the place to go. Home to many wonderful and endless bazaar’s with offerings of silver jewellery, handmade saris, shoes and more you’ll want a bottomless bag for this spree. Take a trip down one of the many mazes of the Pink City, barter for your favourite garments and get ready to take in a new kind of shopping experience.

4. A photo at the Taj Mahal

If you’re visiting Agra, there’s really no excuse for you to miss out on an Instagram-worthy picture of yourself or your crew at the Taj Mahal. This architectural masterpiece is still as immaculate today as it was when it was completed in 1653, with over twice the population of Agra visiting the mausoleum every year, this experience really is once-in-a-lifetime.

5. Experience train journeys like never before

India’s well-known for its interesting rail system (we’ve all seen the pictures of people hanging off of trains - pretty dangerous right!), book your bunk in first or second class and get ready to take in a once-in-a-lifetime journey across the vast Indian landscape. The people of India are super friendly, and if you speak English, they love to take the opportunity to speak to you, invite you for dinner or even offer you a place to stay, you certainly won’t struggle to strike up conversations with strangers in India.
