15 Minute HIIT Workouts To Kick-Start January!

Now the festive season is over, it’s time to start 2017 and get back into a healthy, fit and happy lifestyle. If you're someone like me who has consumed a ridiculous amount of turkey, Yorkshire puddings and maybe one too many glasses of bubbly, I have the perfect workout for you to kick start your fitness again!

I’m a big fan of HIIIT workouts (High Intensity Interval Training) as these workouts are great because:

  • They're good for burning fat

  • They help to build endurance

  • You challenge yourself

  • They make you sweat!

  • No equipment is necessary

  • Mix & match moves or create your own HIIT workout.

This overall HIIT full body workout will give you a nice burn to help shed all the extra Christmas weight and will take about 15 minutes to complete. This quick and simple workout consist of 20 seconds per exercise with a 15 second between each exercise.

  1. Crunches

  2. Alternative jumping lunges

  3. Mountain climbers

  4. Russian twists

  5. Air squats

  6. Press ups

  7. Burpees

  8. Flutter kicks

  9. Criss-cross

  10. High knees

Repeat this twice with a 1-5 minute break in between, depending how you're feeling.

If you find this full body HIIT workout too easy or too difficult, you can increase or decrease the time on each exercise to a time that’s suitable for you.
