Valentine’s Day, as lovely as it is, can be a little over the top. I would be lying if I said I don’t enjoy the idea of making an effort and going to dinner, however sometimes a more relaxed option is needed. A nice relaxed lunch could be just as perfect as an evening out, so dress down and relax this Valentine’s Day!
It is, after all, Valentine’s Day, so instead of dressing up, a smart edge is a really great way to go for a more relaxed day. The simple monochrome colour palette keeps this look simple and smart, but the off white shirt and chinos give it a more ‘off duty’ feel. Blazers are a really great staple for guys who like to look on the smarter side, and can be easily dressed down further with skinny jeans or opting for a colour like burgundy, or a brown. To finish the look for him, a simple pair of trusted Chelsea boots, you can never go wrong with adding a simple black boot to any outfit, alongside being comfortable and practical, they always looks effortlessly stylish.
Both of these looks are in keeping with a more relaxed approach to Valentine’s Day. A denim skirt is always a really great way of keeping it simple with a girly edge. You can work around denim skirts to fit your own personal style, this white denim skirt makes your look a little bit more clean cut, with darker colours being added with some simple Chelsea boots and a striped jumper adding both dark and light elements but also some added interest. As this is a relatively simple look, a classic outerwear option was a must. A classic trench is worth investing in as they work with so many outfits, it is a simple classic and sophisticated look.
