The UNiDAYS freaky feast

Here at UNiDAYS we love cake. You must have noticed! We can't go a week (OK, two days) without various sweet treats bouncing around the office and this week has been no exception. Usually we try and restrict ourselves to the wonders of Cake Thursday but we just couldn't resist a Halloween themed Cake Tuesday this week! Our girl Jenni made these incredible Oreo spider cupcakes, I mean, come on! These went down a treat with their cute Matchstick legs and Oreo faces. Plus, the eyes were edible as she used some really cool Wilton Candy Eyeballs. We love the Halloween-themed cupcake cases too - you can find the recipe here (with step-by-step photos to make it a bit easier) if you fancy attempting some of your own! Hobbycraft-eats-2 I tried to create some super-scary bats but they ended up looking a little more cute than creepy and some of them had their faces squished against my Tupperware, but whaddya gonna do? Apparently they tasted really good though, which is all that matters. To create my bats I used the awesome Hobbycraft Bat Cookie Cutter to cut out my sugar cookie dough and then to cut out the perfect shape of Royal Icing (which I shop bought FYI, I'm not Mary Berry...). For my cookies, I used a Nigella recipe that you can find here! ‌
‌ Katie made these creepy skull candies using the super easy Wilton 3D Skull Candy Mould and some Candy Melts in Dark Green and White. Easy but so effective for Halloween parties or get-togethers. Don't forget to save 10% on all your Hobbycraft Halloween supplies using your UNiDAYS® discount! ‌
