The best collections from LFW

London Fashion Week very rarely disappoints from celeb-spotting to in-the-frow selfies to lusting over clothes you could only afford in your wildest dreams. I definitely prefer the Spring/Summer shows to the Autumn/Winter ones because they’re always filled with floaty fabrics and light pastel colours. It was so hard to put together a line-up of my favourite shows from the last week so I’ve ended up with 6; it’s kind of an obscure number but I couldn’t possibly narrow these down any further!

Jonathan Saunders

With geometric prints, bold colours and lots of asymmetry, this latest collection had a definite African feel that will be gorgeous through Summer. LFW-article-2

Burberry

Although the Cara Delevingne selfie outside the show is pretty high up on my highlights, it’s the clothes themselves that shone through. Everything was very feminine and the collection struck the perfect balance between delicate and striking - definitely my favourite collection to come out of London Fashion Week. LFW-article-1

Peter Pilotto

The texture was the star of this show; the collection was filled with lace and tulle and frills and layers. I also love the pastel palette and shape on a lot of the necklines. LFW-article-5

Mary Katrantzou

The whole ‘florals for spring? groundbreaking’ quote comes to mind on this one but classics are classics for a reason. The ditsy floral print used throughout the collection is perfectly complemented with embellishment and some pretty fierce shoes! LFW-article-4

Sophia Webster

Now here is a designer who doesn’t take herself too seriously - her LFW show was named ‘mermaid laundrette’ and was exactly what it sounds like. Mermaids had their tails at the laundrette and had swapped them for some beautiful shoes while they waited. LFW-article-6

Julien Macdonald

Consistently one of my favourite designers, Julien didn’t let us down. His clothes are always fierce and sassy with plunging necklines, mesh panelling and embellishment as far as the eye can see. I don’t know where I’d ever wear the bodysuit but this would be the piece I’d buy if I could afford it! LFW-article-3 All images sourced from londonfashionweek.co.uk
