GOOD NEWS… we made it through January. A disastrous month of being boozeless/meatless/moneyless is behind us and it’s time to let loose once again. From kebab-fuelled festivals to Super Bowl blowouts and real-life dancing on ice, DesignMyNight has rounded up the very best events to make your February pop.
Whether you fancy yourself a craft beer connoisseur or don’t know your IPA from your ale, Craft Beer Rising is on hand with the ultimate brew-filled experience. Taking over the Truman Brewery for three whole days, you’ll find over 150 of the country’s finest breweries, as well as tasting sessions, live music and top-notch street food to soak it all up.
From Valentine’s to Galentine’s and everything in between, this Shoreditch spot is throwing the ultimate bash come February 14th. In true ‘Thank u, next’ style, they’ve filled a giant ball pit with hundreds of pink balls and there’s even a hanging swing… you know, for the gram. If that’s not enough, then a retro cocktail and cheeseburger spring roll should do it.
When it comes to brunch, eggs and benny just won’t cut it. We need bottomless cocktails, tasty dishes and island vibes. You’ll find all that and more as Bashment Brunch invites you to soak up coconut concoctions and two courses set to a soundtrack of bashment, dancehall, reggaeton and more from live DJs. It’s dutty wine time.
Master the ice as QUEENS Skate Dine Bowl teaches you everything from basic glides to triple turns at this unique dance class. Designed by professional coaches, this course is perfect for everyone from beginners to strong skaters and you’ll even get an award. You know you wanna release your inner Chazz Michael Michaels.
Head to the City this February, where Dabbers is giving a new meaning to bingo each and every Saturday. Raising the stakes, they’ve got quirky performances, live music and even comedians alongside free-flowing prosecco and mouth watering dishes. This is bingo but not as you know it.
From chicken fried in crispy cornflakes to vegan Oreo superbowls, Cereal Killer Cafe has got the goods. Forget what you think you know about breakfast because this Brick Lane hangout is taking the most important meal of the day to new levels. There’s 90s interiors, themed cocktails and a menu to take you from morning to night.
If your idea of a kebab is a 2am trip to the only greasy takeaway that’s still open, then you need to hit up Taste & Liquor’s Kebab Festival. Breathing a new lease of life into the beloved Middle Eastern dish, Kebabingham is back for its second year. It’s all hearty fillings, finger-lickin' food and creative cocktails.
Nestled in Spinningfields, Speak In Code is all about world-class cocktails and late night jazz. You’ll have to work to find this secretive speakeasy, but it’s well worth the wait. Not only will you find classic tipples, but there’s even a vegan menu. When we say this is one of Manchester’s best-hidden gems, we really mean it.
You’ve seen the movie, now it’s time to take on the challenge. Get down to Buck’s Bar where the chicken-focussed favourite challenges you to a game of wing roulette. Don your blindfold, do your best Sandra Bullock impression and prepare to devour 12 wings. There’s a fiery Nashville Hot XXX hiding within, so you’ll be wanting that glass of milk and fries.
