I’ve lined up 4 of my favourite, delicious and surprisingly healthy protein packed meals to help keep you on the gym and fitness hype.
1. One pot mexican beef
This bad boy is basically a chilli but with the rice already thrown in, making it super easy to cook with next to no washing up too! You can add kidney beans for an extra protein hit and pack it out with vegetables. Drop the meat if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, of course.
2. Chilli garlic prawns and all the veggies
Alice Liveing formally Clean Eating Alice is the go to when you need healthy meal inspo. This super healthy and delicious meal is real mixture, you could literally throw any veg you have in, spice it up and off you go. Swapping out chicken for prawns is an easy way to get some seafood in your life without going all Captain Birdseye too.
3. Healthy fish and chips
While I’m on the fish hype, what beats fish and chips? OK so maybe the healthy version doesn’t beat the chippy but this recipe pretty damn close! This twist on the classic requires no fancy ingredients and looks the part. Swap white potato for sweet potato if you prefer, you could also swap cod for pollock or basa if you’re watching your pennies.
4. Greek yoghurt and summer berries
Granted this a recipe that shouldn’t take too much effort but if you’re looking for a high protein, healthy dessert, Greek yoghurt is a go to! Opt for low fat or high fat depending on how you like to spread your macros and top with delicious summer berries. You can also top with calorie free flavourings or syrups from MyProtein to add an extra sweet kick.
