On Thursday I headed off on a little adventure to the Big Smoke to take a sneak peek at Urban Outfitters’ Spring Summer 2016 collection. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the lovely ladies at Urban Outfitters who took me on a tour of the new collection sharing the wisdom behind the different sections they had drawn inspiration on, and what can I say? I had a blast!
70’s Rebel GirlWe started at the first character which was based around the much loved 70s street fashion, which included some truly beautiful pieces such as this fabulous pink jumpsuit from LF Markey which I am completely in love with! As well as designs from Maharishi and Kings of Indigo.
Authentic GirlThis character collection is a personal favourite of mine with it’s selection of vintage A-Line denim skirts and cute printed Tees, a perfect range for the everyday girly girl full of vibrant reds, blues and oranges. I spent a lot of time sifting through the authentic rail, my favourite pick from the selection has to be the “Oui” Tee from L’ecole desFemmes.
Boho RomanticThe Boho Romantic selection really encaptures the classic bohemian girl with it’s range of patterns, natural colours and flowy materials, an ideal selection for a keen festival goer and a personal favourite of the Urban Outfitters stylists.
SwimwearI am completely in love with their swimwear this coming season, which is taking on a sporty girl style with sports cropped bikini tops from Calvin Klein, which could potentially make the bikini part of your everyday outfit this summer! Taking a step back from the range of fresh designs and details, I think it’s safe to say that we’ve got a lot to look forward to this summer. Other aspect we can very much look forward to are the Obey and Jamie Reed collaboration in menswear, the new women’s denim range and the launch of their new and improved UO Tech which is going to be amazing! I am most definitely going to be at the front of the line when this collection launches and I look forward to seeing you all there!
