5 items of clothing you can save money on today

Let’s face it, we’d all like to save a little bit of money when it comes to shopping. If you’re working to a tight budget, that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice upgrading your wardrobe, you simply need to shop smart. I’ve picked out 5 items of clothing I truly believe you can save some cash on and still look great, freeing up money for date nights, holidays or maybe even that savings account!

1. The crew neck tee

Why guys spend £30+ on classic, block coloured crew neck t-shirts I’ll never know. High street stores have been upping their game when it comes to tees over the past year or so and there’s now a whole range of styles including slim fit, longline and muscle fit for the gym lovers. This classic regular cut version is available from New Look for just £5.99 or 2 for £9!

2. Underwear

Don’t get me wrong, we all loved the sneaky peak of Calvin Klein above the waistband when we were kids and their underwear is great quality. However, if you’re in need of new boxers to get you through the week, you could save yourself around £10 a pair by opting for these ASOS trunks as opposed to your favourite big brand. Let’s face it, no one looks as good in them as those models do anyway.

3. Shorts

When it comes to shorts, I’m all about the savings. This year we’ve been blessed with an unusually hot summer but more often than not we get one to two weeks of sun and that’s it. For shorts I head straight to the high street as in my opinion less material should mean less money. Take a look at what Topman have to offer have to offer.

4. Pyjamas and loungewear

Pyjamas are strictly for the home and there’s only ever going to be handful of people that see you in them so there’s no need to be spending the big bucks. Loungewear should be comfortable and saving cash definitely helps me relax a little better. This Boohoo loungewear set is extra af but totally cool.

5. Accessories

A few well chosen accessories are the perfect finishing touch to your outfits. They’re a bit of fine art and experimenting with different looks shouldn’t cost the earth. Stores such as ASOS, Topman and New Look will help you pick up bargain sunglasses and necklaces at affordable prices.
