Museums and art galleries were understandably some of the first spaces to close to the public when Rona hit. But if you’re an avid admirer of the arts desperate for a fix of culture, fear not. Many of the world’s top institutions have flung their virtual doors wide open.

MoMA, New York
The Museum of Modern Art in New York is one of the most famous in the world. And housing a collection of more than 200,000 pieces in a range of mediums including “painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, architecture, design, film, and media and performance art”, it’s easy to see why.

Museo Frida Kahlo, Mexico City
Part art gallery and part museum, the unique Museo Frida Kahlo provides a fascinating insight into one of Mexico’s best loved creative minds. But more than that, it digs deep into her life, the troubles she faced and the resolve she showed to overcome them.
Based in her former home, nicknamed The Blue House, it’s a captivating journey through her most intimate moments. You’ll see the numerous prosthetics and contraptions Kahlo needed to keep her functioning day to day, a collection of her fantastic traditional clothing, plus some of her most captivating works of art.
The British Museum, London
Ok, so labelled the “world’s largest receivers of stolen property”, the ethical questions over how much of the British Museum’s contents were obtained are undoubtedly problematic. But less questionable is the astonishing depth and breadth of the collection. Put simply, it’s mind blowing. And even more incredible is the fact that the lion’s share is actually tucked away in a vault somewhere.

NASA
Whether you’re a space swot or wouldn’t know Uranus from your elbow, it’s impossible not to be fascinated by what lies beyond the earth’s atmosphere. NASA’s world famous space stations have long had an educational slant offering tours and experiences across their numerous sites.
