If you’re a keen fashionista and have been keeping up-to-date with the shows from New York and London Fashion Week, you will have noticed a fair few trends coming through. To make your life easier in order to be ahead of the game once spring comes around, I have gone through all the shows and whittled down the top four emerging trends!
The catwalks have been filled with variations of pink this September, and it is definitely tickling our fancy. Pink is a colour that has been overtaken recently by bolder statement colours such as red, so I am more than excited at the prospect of having it at the forefront of my wardrobe once spring has sprung! Here are my top five pink looks from this September's shows.
No more plain Jane
During the winter months, we often find ourselves in a rut of wearing plain outfits with the sole purpose of keeping warm. Once we strip ourselves of the ice-queen winter layers, we play around with colours and patterns, and we are getting a huge thumbs up from the most recent collections when it comes to prints for Spring 2018! Check out the best prints from the catwalk from designers such as Marc Jacobs and Christopher Kane.
Blazers and shirting have been huge this year, and it looks as if this modern tailoring is here to stay for another season! Two-pieces like the above by Emilio De La Morena have had a strong presence on both New York and London’s catwalks, adding a fun Cher Horowitz from Clueless vibe to your spring wardrobe! Praise the lord we may be dressing like Cher again in real life rather than just for Halloween!
If you thought Spring 2018 might have been the return of the mini skirt, think again! Calf length skirts and dresses might just remain the most chic next spring, and who can complain when it is the most flattering length for all shapes and sizes! I absolutely love the Osman patterned dress above, as it combines a youthful print with a mature cut, perfect for both day and night.
