3 spring trends you need to wear

With spring right around the corner, what better way to get into the spirit than to get excited about all the new clothes you’re allowed to buy, because what better excuse than the seasons changing, right?

I, for one, cannot wait for the sun to come out a little more, and be able to start wearing these new trends! Think bright colours, mixed florals and lots of texture.

1. The deconstructed shirt

First up, the deconstructed shirt. I have not stepped into a single shop in the past few weeks that doesn’t contain a variation of this trend in some form or another. The classic simple shirt is now being transformed into something entirely different, there is a style sure to suit everyone.

This Lavish Alice off the shoulder shirt is stunning and is a perfect wardrobe staple, looking great both for day and evening! Up next is this equally as cute one-sleeved Missguided shirt, how could you resist?

2. Clashing colours

Realistically, we are still in the UK, meaning even when it is spring, layering items is still essential in order to keep warm and not freeze to death. With that being said, layering is by no means boring or a necessity, but instead fun and exciting, making it a perfect combination for this trend.

Wearing brights, of whatever shade, shape or style, mixing and clashing is what makes things interesting; as shown by Topshop Unique and Givenchy at Fashion Week. This frill jacket is calling my name, I am already running the outfit possibilities through my mind. Any colours go with this trend, and this gorgeous Topshop jumper is a dream, you’ll be catwalk ready in no time.

3. Florals

I know what you’re all thinking - ‘Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking’ as Miranda Priestly famously said.

And yes, florals are so obvious to wear in the spring, which some may find boring, however the offering from retailers at the moment is just too hard to say no to and you have to admit that they are pretty. This Urban Outfitters floral dress is adorable and would make the perfect everyday Spring dress for your wardrobe. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, this tropical dress is stunning, with an extra pretty cut out opening on the back! Florals are a classic, they’re an essential in any wardrobe.
