The best Christmas burgers to get your teeth into

This post is brought to you by Byron Burger

Finally, the time has come around for festive eating. But, let’s admit it, there comes a point where you are DONE with the dry turkey and the cold gravy. So what do you eat when you want that festive feeling, but without the standard, boring Christmas plate? The Christmas burger, of course! We’ve rounded up the best festive burgers that yule love!

Byron Burger- various locations

Byron has really gone all out this year with their All Hail the Turkey burger which delivers on all the Christmas flavours, but in juicy burger form! So, what’s in it? How about buttermilk-fried turkey topped with chestnut & sage stuffing, crispy bacon and house-made bread sauce mayonnaise? Yep, you can stop drooling now. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, you can also choose from the Le Bleu burger, which is a deeply beefy number with premium Bleu cheese. For the veggies, Byron are also bringing out the big guns with the Merry Cheesemas burger. It’s made up of a beer-battered smoke cheese patty topped with cranberry sauce, chestnut & sage stuffing and finished with Byron’s house-made bread sauce mayonnaise.

All Star Lanes- London and Manchester

If you’re down for a spot of festive bowling, you’ll need some fuel to help you top the leaderboard. Well lucky for you, All Star Lanes have a Christmas Dinner Burger which combines southern fried turkey, sage and onion patty, roasted potato mayo (yes, that’s right!) and even a pig in blanket on top!

MeatLiquor- London, Brighton, Leeds

Down at MeatLiquor they’re celebrating XXXMAS, so you know the XXXMAS burger is going to be a big experience. Made from free-range Herons farm roast turkey and old spot sausage patty with crispy bacon, stuffing crumbles, gravy, cranberry sauce, it’s one juicy meal. They’ve also got a XXXMAS drinks menu, so why not try a Pinot Grincho or a Let it Sloe on the side.

Honest Burger- various locations

If I told you this burger had DEEP FRIED CAMEMBERT, you’d probably think I was making it up, but Honest Burger have gone and done it. Add beef, smoked bacon, cranberry sauce and rocket with rosemary salted chips and you’ve well and truly got yourself a Christmas feast in between two pieces of bread.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen- various locations

GBK’s All wrapped Up burger does the impossible and leaves you wanting more cabbage! It’s pan-fried and tossed with pear, cinnamon, orange & red wine. Alongside the Christmas cabbage is 6oz prime beef, camembert and cranberry mayo sauce. It’s all topped with a prune in crispy bacon. It’s the Christmas burger you never knew you needed!

KFC Festive burger- various locations

KFC’s festive burger is the new burger on the block this year. Of course, you can expect the Original Recipe fillet but this time it’s paired with a crispy hash brown, a delicious sage and onion stuffing mayo and topped with a tangy cranberry dressing and a layer of cheese. This is a great choice for the day after one too many mulled wines!
