9 ways to tech yourself with Samsung

Tech yes

Now that you're back in school and the projects keep rolling in, you might have noticed that some of your technology just isn't cutting it. Maybe you got a hand-me-down from an older sibling or cousin. Perhaps you got stuck with the family laptop while they upgraded. No matter what your tech situation, if you feel like upgrading (and upgrading to Samsung) we've decided to put together a little list of some of the best Samsung options on the market.

1. Phone

While the overall design of the Galaxy S9 is the same as the S8, the displays are some of the best you can get on an Android phone. Beyond that, it has curved glass on the front AND the back (although you can get an S9 without a curved screen if wanted). It's also water resistant and if you're as clumsy as I am... that can certainly come in clutch. An image

2. Tablet

The Galaxy Tab S4 has a QLED screen which means.... crisp and quality images so your Netflix binges can be that much better. You can also use a microSD card if you run out of storage which some other tablets don't give you the option to do. Sadly, if you want a keyboard, you'll have to buy one yourself. That being said, it comes with an S Pen so you can start drawing as soon as you get it set up. An image

3. Laptop

The keyboard on the Notebook 9 15" is a bit squishy but if you're the kind of person whose current laptop keeps dying... then this is the laptop for you. It's got a ridiculously long battery life, incredible software, is pretty portable for a 15" laptop and it's performance is * chef's kiss *. However if you're looking for something with a ton of storage, you may want to check out the other laptops Samsung has to offer. An image

4. Portable charger

If you've got back to back classes and spend most of them on your phone, your phone could die pretty quickly. With the Fast Charge Portable Battery Pack 5100 mAH you have at least an extra full charge. Due to the "fast charge" your phone won't be hovering on 15% for more than 10 minutes. An image

5. Microwave

If you're lucky enough to live in a dorm that allows you to have a microwave or unlucky enough to live in an apartment that doesn't come with one, the Samsung MS11K3000AS is a great option if you're looking for something easy to use. It's a smaller compact unit that allows you to use the dial to add more time plus the power level can be changed easily. An image

6. Vacuum

I'm lazy so ANYTHING to help with the cleaning without me having to do it manually is a godsend. Enter the POWERbot™ R7065 Robot Vacuum. It's a little pricier but can sync up with Alexa or Google Home. It also won't run over your feet or get tied up with your shoe laces as it deep cleans. An image

7. QLED TV

One of the most affordable QLED TVs Samsung has to offer the 49" Class Q6FN QLED Smart 4K UHD TV adds HDR10+ and 4K gaming. It also has an ambient mode and the Smart Home UX looks seamless. Downside is that there are issues with reflectivity at certain angles and Edge LEDs lead to poor contrast. An image

8. Soundbar

If you own a Samsung TV and want great sound, then the HW-MS650 Sound+ Premium Soundbar is for you. It features HDMI in and out with 4K capabilities and an array of Wi-Fi features. That being said, the lightweight bass tends to sound less intense when watching movies or television and trying to stream via Wi-Fi can be a hassle. An image

9. Headphones

If you're an Android user the Gear IconX headphones are Samsung's answer to Air Pods. The 2018 version of the Gear IconX have an improved battery over previous models. Unlike other wireless headphones, these actually have touch features (although they can be hit or miss). An image
