Here at UNiDAYS
HQ we love our neighboring city Derby, here's our reasons why...
1. intu Derby
It’s home to loads of mega brands, great restaurants, a Showcase Cinema de Lux and epic events throughout the year! Fresher’s certainly isn’t one to miss! This year’s student night is on Tuesday 22nd
September, there’s gonna be loads of great discounts, live music and loads of competitions & giveaways including a Ryman £170 tech bundle up for grabs! There’s a £2 charge on the door which will go to the amazing charity, Children First Derby – even more reason for you to head down! Just sign up HERE
2. Best ale houses in England
Derby's known as the countries real ale capital, but hey, don’t just take our word for it! There’s also the occasional beer festival and live music going on!
3. The Peak District
Home to some of the most amazing scenery in the UK and there’s so many ways you can enjoy it! You can give horse riding a try, cycling, climbing & caving and there's loads of historic houses and castles to visit – like Chatsworth House which was featured in the awesome film Pride and Prejudice.
4. The Cathedral Quarter
For afternoon tea this is the place to be! It’s full of cute cafes, beautiful buildings like Derby Cathedral and loads of independent retailers where you’ll be sure to find some gems!
Another beauty spot in Derbyshire, we wanna say this is the home of Mary Berry, but it isn’t. It is however, home to the UK’s premier baking festival and of course the Bakewell Tart! It has also been voted the second best town in Britain by the Times – certainly not one to miss!
