The BAFTA TV Awards: Best and worst dressed

The BAFTA TV awards were hosted by comedy mega babe Sue Perkins, to celebrate the very best in television and broadcast on British screens.

With Happy Valley winning big, let’s get down to the important stuff: the dresses!

The good

Eleanor Tomlinson

Most recently playing Demelza Poldark in Poldark, Eleanor looked beautifully boho in a floor length embellished dress. Styled with a side parting and fishtail braids, her look was totally dreamy.

Laura Whitmore

Irish model and TV presenter Laura Whitmore stood out from the crowd in a brightly patterned, strapless, tie dye dress. Keeping her accessories simple, Laura opted for a chrome belt and black clutch.

Ella Eyre tulle dress

This dress is far from the striking catsuits and trainers Ella usually goes for when on stage, but it’s bang on trend and we love it! Tulle dresses are everywhere right now and we can’t get enough of them. As for the colour, Ella definitely looks pretty in pink.

The not so good

Candice Brown

From The Great British Bake Off Queen… to Queen of the not so good red carpet looks. We love the dress Candice, but the hair... Not so much.

Katya Jones

Talk about a little OTT. This dress might have looked a little better without all the beads. But from a Strictly Come Dancing star I guess they’re used to all the glitz and glamour.

Anna Friel

British actress, Anna Friel, didn’t really look the part with this black and white number. The contrasting shoes and dress (which looks a bit of an awkward length) don’t really do anything for me. However, her hair and makeup looked absolutely flawless, if only her dress was up to that standard.
