5 trends from the 90s that aren't going anywhere

We all know that history tends to repeat itself and 90’s trends aren’t going anywhere! From looking at your Insta feed it’s clear to see the influence the 90’s has had on the fashion scene. So now’s the time to look at what’s hot right now, coming straight from the 90s:

1. Side stripe trousers

The only trousers you need in your life right now. Side stripe trousers are SO comfy and bang on trend at the moment. Win-win situation. New Look are bringing them right back from the 90s after being championed by Balenciaga and Valentino. These trousers are so easy to style with a variety of different options. For a super casual look pair them with a jumper and trainers. Mix things up a bit with a checked blazer and slogan tee. Or try them for a night out with a lace or mesh body and sock boots… the options are endless!

2. Dr. Martens

Dr. Martens are well and truly back! Possibly the most comfortable shoes you could ever own and loved by all the celebs. From Gigi Hadid to Emma Watson, these shoes back the perfect statement. Whether you prefer the Chelsea boot or the classic lace-up boot, they go with everything. Think cropped mom jeans for all the chilled vibes or tights and a slip dress for the meal out with the gals.

3. Choker necklace

Whether you prefer all-out glam or something a little more subtle. Chokers are a great accessory for finishing off an outfit. This tie up choker has definitely come straight from the 90s. With a black fabric tie and silver look detailing, this choker adds instant edge to any outfit. For something a little more ‘out there’ this iridescent rhinestone choker is enough to make any outfit more ‘night out’ ready!

4. Iridescent skirts

Who said sequins had to be kept in the 90s? Totally not us. Sequins are definitely back as they made a big appearance on the runway this season. So make sure you’re ready for the dancefloor with this figure-flattering skirt. Let the skirt do the talking by teaming it with a plain tee.

5. Crop tops

Crop tops haven’t gone anywhere since the Spice Girls brought them onto the fashion scene in the late 1990s. Anyone can pull off a crop top... it’s all about balance. If you’re opting for more of a bra style top, it’s best to keep the skin-baring to a minimum. Some high waisted suit trousers paired with a blazer and crop create the perfect sassy statement outfit. Or why not try some high waisted jeans if you prefer something a little more casual.
