5 festivals you probably didn't know about

Coachella is about to kick off festival season, and boy are we ready for it! As Glastonbury and V Festival aren't happening this year (sad times), we thought we'd share some other festivals you might not know about... so that you don't miss out on any festival fun.

As well as giving you the low down on some top festivals this year, we've also picked out 5 fashion items perfect for festivals and 10 weekend festival hacks to make your weekend even more enjoyable.

1. Strawberries & Creem

  • 16th June
  • Haggis Farm, Cambridge

Curated by the youngest festival team in the UK with an average age of just 24, Strawberries & Creem continue to rewrite the rulebook on inner-city festival curation as they return to Cambridge for their fifth anniversary. Headliner T-Pain brings a dose of noughties nostalgia, with Not3s, Kojo Funds, David Rodigan, Ghetts, Madam X and more confirmed for this one-day celebration of rap, grime, garage and house.

2. NASS Festival

  • 5th - 8th July
  • Royal Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet

As the UK’s exclusive action sports and music event, NASS is the only festival you can enjoy your favourite live and DJ acts before watching the best international skateboarders and BMXers compete. This festival has it all. Acts like Dizzee Rascal, Run DMC and Sigma top the eclectic music bill this year. Offering luxury tipi and yurt glamping options, this 4-day festival is the perfect summer blowout for those who like to experience more than just the music.

3. Balaton Sound

  • 4th - 8th July
  • Zamardi, Lake Balaton, Hungary

The 5-day non-stop beach themed music festival is situated on the stunning Lake Balaton and sister of Sziget festival in Hungary. It is set to be the beach party destination for dance music lovers with a stellar billing set confirmed from the likes of Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Alesso and Craig David Presents TS5. As one of Europe's biggest open air electronic music festivals, revellers are treated to quirky boutique camping within the festival village sprinkled with bars and restaurants - for those seeking a break from dancing up a storm in the arena, revellers can head down to the lake for a spot of well-deserved sun-bathing and swimming.

4. Dreambeach

  • 8th - 12th August
  • Villaricos, Spain

The largest electronic music festival in Spain, Dreambeach takes place right on the Mediterranean shoreline in Almeria and caters to over 150,000 music lovers. Billed as 'The New Era', the sixth edition of the festival will see Dreambeach build on its huge variation of music offerings with a line-up that includes hip-hop, bass, hardstyle, techno, trance and EDM. Plus a camping area that comes complete with luxurious Balinese beds, barbecue sites and a swimming pool that's over 60 metres long!

5. Mysteryland

  • 24th - 26th August
  • Haarlemmermeer, near Amsterdam

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Mysteryland is Amsterdam's biggest music festival. A colourful collaboration of party animals, artists, DJs and creatives, it's renowned for its jaw-dropping production. In between sparkling ponds, rivers and forestry hills of the Floriade terrain near Amsterdam across the August bank holiday weekend, festival goers can expect an unrivalled bill of superstar acts like Fatboy Slim, Hardwell, Sven Vath and Paul van Dyk. The event offers a range of glamping and luxury lodge packages, pre and after parties, as well as a diverse food selection. Mysteryland promises a 3-day spectacle of music, revelry and mystery.
