Top moments from the Australian Open (so far)

As we get geared up for this weekend’s finals, let’s take a look back at some of the highlights from this year’s Australian Open.

Nick Kyrios and Will Smith's budding bromance

In his post-match interview, Nick Kyrios admitted to being nervous when he saw his that his idol Will Smith was in the audience watching him! Skip to 2 mins 15 secs to hear all the cuteness between the two and Will giving Nick the thumbs up for being ‘cool.’

Kyle Edmonds stuns everyone

At the time of writing this British player Kyle Edmonds has just beaten the 3rd seed, Grigor Dimitrov to reach his first ever Grand Slam semi-final. No one saw this coming from the 49th ranked player and it certainly gave all us Brits hope again after Andy Murray didn’t compete this year due to injury.

Fifteen-year-old Kostyuk reaches third round

Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine became the youngest player since 1997 to reach the third round of a Grand Slam by beating Olivia Rogowska. Not bad for a 15-year-old!

Djokovic getting knocked out by unseeded player

Hyeon Chung of South Korea, world number 58, beat Novak in straight sets in the fourth round of the Grand Slam. Djokovic had been suffering from an elbow injury which seemed to have flared up in the first set. The question is what’s next for Djokovic now?

Will Ferrell’s presence

When asked why he came to the Australian Open this year, Will Ferrell said ‘he had frequent flyer miles to use.’ I think that set the tone for his visit to the slam. Take a look below at his interview with Roger Federer, including asking him ‘are you a witch or a vampire?’

Djokovic doing an Aussie accent

Despite being knocked earlier than expected, Djokovic was still delivering his usual laughs, even attempting an Australian accent at one point! Check it out below.
