Back to school beauty with Becca

Back to school season is just around the corner and this means that you want to look your best! Today I'm going to be showing you how I get prepped for the first day with this is a neutral eye look and a pink lip. Apply your usual base and powder and then get ready to brighten up your face with these 7 steps!

Step 1: Prime the eyelid

I always take the most time on my eye-shadow. I feel like it's the most important part to a makeup look. For this tutorial, I'm starting off by prepping my eyes with a primer. It helps the shadow stay on all day. School days are pretty long so you want to make sure the eye-shadow doesn't crease. You could try the Models Own Eye Base Primer for a super purse friendly $9.00 using your 10% ASOS discount!

Step 2: Blend crease shadow

I usually start off by blending a dark shadow into my crease. This creates an outline for the rest of the shadow. You could use a palette such as the Ciaté Pretty Fun & Fearless Palette in Pretty for this look.

Step 3: Add a base shadow

To blend out the eyeshadow, I take a lighter shade of shadow  to place over the entire base of the lid, then I blend it out to make the shadow even along the eye. I then apply a little liquid eyeliner to create a cat-eye flick.  beauty_articlev2

Step 4: Eyelashes

I'm applying this Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara to my eyelashes to make them look bigger. This mascara makes them look naturally larger, rather than making them look fake. You can pick this up from Pharmapacks with an extra 10% off!

Step 5: Eyebrows

Using this Maybelline Brow Drama Mascara, I comb it through my brows to make them look more even and shape them. Even on days when I don't wear as much makeup, I always make sure to use product on my eyebrows because the brows frame the face.

Step 6: Blush

For this tutorial, I'm using this a light pink blush, I like the Stila Custom Color Blush I'm applying it on the higher side of my cheekbones to add some color to the makeup look. Step 7: Lips  Since this look is so simple, I wanted to add a colorful gloss to add something bright to the look. I'm using this NYX Butter Gloss in the shade Eclair. All finished... now you're ready to head to class!
