9 striped tops that'll never go out of style

I am a self-confessed striped top addict. Whatever day of the week, whether I'm feeling like dressing up quite smart for work or I'm chilling on the sofa before heading out for brunch. A striped top will always make any outfit 100% better. I love the classic navy and white, obviously. But, recently, I've branched out into the ol' red stripes and I'm kind of over-excited about it. Here are 9 tops that you can grab from the high street at the moment that will never go out of style. #stripesforlife

Pretty and preppy from Jack Wills

Let's face it, Jack Wills make some seriously quality kit. With their standard heavy cotton and pretty colour palette they're a striped top lover's Heaven and these two are super cute. First up, a quirky take on the classic stripe with some added lace texture, this Breighton lace sleeve tee has really pretty sleeves and would look amazing with white skinny jeans. Next up, probably the most traditional top in this line-up is the Jack Wills Alburgh Breton stripe top. Pure stripe perfection.

Go bold with Topshop

Topshop always do fab striped tops and this mixed stripe long sleeve top is nothing short of amazing. The perfect slouchy fit, the classic colours, it's got it all. Another Topshop gem has to be this super-cool cut-cuff top by Topshop Boutique. This is the perfect go-to striped top for parties if you're anything like me and not a huge fan of getting dressed up! Makes a statement, isn't too casual and you can wear with black jeans. Win.

Cropped and retro a la Urban Outfitters

These 70s vibes aren't going away anytime soon and they always look cute with pinafores, denim skirts and dungarees! I'm loving the red, blue and white cropped top and maroon stripe turtleneck crop top for a different take on stripes that still gives me the pattern fix I crave!

Cute and classic with ASOS

The great thing about stripes is the fact that they're almost a neutral, they're so easy to wear! Because they're so classic and fab it means you can jazz them up a lil' bit like this cute Noisy May motif top. Nautical, hearts, traditional tattoos - anything goes when it comes to embellishing your stripes!

Stylish shapes always benefit from added stripes. See the Monki bardot top as an amazing example. The bardot is a classic shape that always looks elegant, but, add stripes and it's 100 times cuter. Finally, I mentioned red stripes at the start and this People Tree classic Breton top is a great example of how classy they can look!
