Let's get started

You can't go to Zizzi and not take on one of their yummy starters. We had the incredible Prawn Zucchini Bites (that's courgette to you and me) and the Bruschetta. These prawn bites of heaven are 'lightly battered bites of prawns and courgettes with a lemon & rosemary aioli'. And they're under 300 calories which is awesome if you're trying to eat a little bit healthier. The Bruschetta is obviously an Italian classic. With 'Isle of Wight mixed tomatoes, red onion and roasted garlic, on toasted bread, with super green pesto, fresh basil and riserva cheese'. Hello, fresh!

The main event

If you're not a fan of pizza (who are you?) Zizzi have so many options based on Italian flavours and specialities that aren't the cheesy stuff. I had the delicious Spiedini Pescatore. A Mediterranean hanging skewer of 'juicy king prawns, salmon, peppers & courgettes with a white wine and lemon sauce'. This is also under 600 kcals when you choose a summer salad as a side. Hey beach body, we're coming for ya!

Pasta is obviously the other incredible Italian favourite that we're a huge fan of here at UNiDAYS HQ. Carbs = life for the Social Team so this Porcini Giganti Tortelloni was an absolute dream. 'Giant tortelloni pockets filled with ricotta and porcini mushrooms in a creamy wild mushroom sauce with baby spinach.' YES.

Chill out time

For dessert, even though we were so full, we indulged in some super smooth gelato. We had coconut, pistachio and vanilla!

We absolutely loved The Light as a venue, it's so light (soz, it just is) and airy and the restaurant is lovely so we'd massively recommend it if you're in Sheffield.
