What to wear to London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week kicks off on 16th February, fresh from New York and runs for a glorious 4 days until the 20th when the fashion week train hops over to Milan for a whole load of Italian charm. Keep your eyes glued to Instagram and Twitter over this epic timeframe because your wardrobe inspiration is about to go through the roof.

We know that all of our favourite bloggers, editors and celebs will be hitting the Frow this year looking absolutely incredible but, what will they be wearing? Here are a few of my sartorial predictions for the LFW A/W 2018 shows.

Blindin’ in brights

I mean, you can’t have missed the bright faux fur trend that’s been hitting our Instagram feeds in the past few weeks and I’m sure some of our favourite fashion gals will be rocking this stand out trend at LFW this year. Check out the mega-babe that is Megan Ellaby rocking the trend in white and yellow and try these picks out for size if you want to nail her look. We love the Miss Selfridge lilac faux fur jacket, Topshop chevron faux fur coat and this incredible ASOS light yellow faux fur jacket. They would all be perfect over your favourite jeans and a slogan tee. Add Converse for the day or barely there cool-girl heels for the evening and you are 100% set to be snapped by those street-style paps!

Comfort comes first

If you are heading to pound the streets of London and are planning on zipping from show to show and still being on time then chuck the heels back into your closet and grab those kicks. Trainers are the best footwear choice if you want to keep going all day and into the after parties at night. Nikes are huge on the scene right now and pop those Adidas Superstars back for another day.

Keep it retro with the Air Max 97s in either white or this amazing taupe colour. Or, head straight into 2018 and rock the velvet Nike cortez in pink. Just avoid the puddles in these ones!

Wide-legged legend

Denim has had a little re-vamp recently and it’s all about the cropped flares and wide-legged beauties like Sophie Basse is rocking here. I mean, this girl is an incredible French stylist so we can’t all look as effortless as she can but we can try, can’t we?

Topshop are killing it with their wide leg denim selection, try these awkward crop wide leg jeans with a Breton top and a blazer. Or, dodge the puddles and rock some white jeans like the bad style bish you are.

Makeup essentials

If you’re going to be out looking absolutely fly all day then prepping your makeup is the best way to say flawless. Grab your favourite primer and then apply a long wearing foundation like the L’Oreal Infallible Foundation Stick - because this is in an easy stick form you can pop it in your bag for essential touch-ups throughout the day too. After you’ve applied all your makeup, use a fixing spray such as the MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist to keep you feeling and looking awesome all day. Both of these makeup must-haves are available from Superdrug with 10% off too - hello, bargain central!

There we have it. You’ve got your statement coat for the serial fashionista, your comfy kicks for the gal that likes to run around town missing out on absolutely nothin’ and your style queen rocking the latest denim trend. Choose your tribe or kill it in all three at once. Just don’t forget your sass!
