The top 10 Instagramable places in the UK

With more than 800 million active users every month, standing out on Instagram is no easy challenge.

Here are 10 destinations that might help put you on the Instagram map:

1. The Hockley Arts Club, Nottingham

The top floor of this bar and restaurant transforms into a themed wonderland every 6 months or so with a bespoke cocktail menu to match. Here it is as a Japanese spring garden:

2. Brighton Pavilion

Brighton is the home of the influencer so it only makes sense that it made this list. Between the Pavilion and the pastel coloured beach huts, you won’t be short of things to take photos of.

3. The Quayside, Newcastle

This riverside destination in Newcastle is one of the few places you’ll want to wait until the sun goes down to photograph. The bridge that connects the two sides of the river lights up in the evening and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained until it does.

4. Dalloway Terrace, London

This stunning London hotspot brings the outside inside. Named after one of Virginia Wolf’s most famous characters, it’s quintessentially British in every way.

5. Tattu, Manchester and Leeds

This place literally has a tree inside. If that hasn’t convinced you to add it to your ‘to photograph’ list already, I don’t know what will.

6. Edinburgh Castle

It might be a bit of a trek to get to but once you’re there, Edinburgh Castle is well worth the extra exercise. The castle itself is breathtaking and the views of the city from the top come in a very close second.

7. The Cavern Club, Liverpool

The home of The Beatles and, luckily for you and your Instagram feed, some awesome statues and artwork to go along with it. A must-visit if you’re in Liverpool for the day.

8. Columbia Road Flower Market, London

If you can find the space to actually take a photo on this jam-packed street you’ll be in luck. It’s worth elbowing a few Londoners out the way for though. With every flower under the sun on sale, you’re sure to find one to fit your Insta theme.

9. Oxford University

I’m pretty sure we’ve all wanted to feel like a part of Harry Potter’s world at some point... and seeing as parts of the movies were filmed here, this is probably the closest most of us will get. Don’t forget your wand and witch’s hat!

10. Laynes Espresso, Leeds

This café in Leeds is every minimalist’s dream destination. A monochrome colour scheme is paired with an all-important Instagram worthy menu - avocado and poached egg included.
