Our BAFTA 2019 highlights

Rami Malek was adorable collecting his Best Actor award

Our favourite internet boyfriend won the big award for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. His acceptance speech epitomised why we love him so much, as he was humble and incredibly sweet.

Letitia Wright is a true Rising Star

We’ve loved watching her in Top Boy and Black Mirror, but it was for her work in black Panther and Avengers in 2018 that scooped her the Rising Star Award at this year’s BAFTAS. She used her acceptance speech to speak out about her struggles with her mental health.

Olivia Coleman was hilarious, as always

After taking the prize for Best Actress, Olivia Coleman had the audience in fits of laughter as she made her way through her acceptance speech. Check out her speech:

Roma won big

Not only did it scoop the award for Best Film, but it also picked up awards for best direction, cinematography and original screenplay, among others! If you haven’t had a chance to watch Roma, you can now stream it on Netflix!

Bradley and Gaga split their award show appearances

This awards seasons fave co-stars were unfortunately not together for the BAFTAs as Lady Gaga was attending the BAFTAS where the pair also won big. Luckily Bradley made it to London to collect their award for Best Original Music.
