Grammys 2018: The full round up

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards took place last night at Madison Square Garden, New York, hosted by James Corden. But unlike last year, it was kind of all about the guys when it came to the awards.

Here’s what went down on a night of surprises, politics and performances:

TimesUp

From Sam Smith to Lady Gaga… many of the celebs walked the red carpet wearing white roses to honour the victims of sexual abuse, as part of the Time’s Up campaign. Kelly Clarkson explained: ‘It represents hope and peace and sympathy and resistance, I thought those were lovely things for every human to encompass and to also share with others.’

Awards

Bruno Mars won big as he accepted all of the 6 awards he was nominated for. As well as beating Jay-Z and Kendrick Lemar to the three biggest awards of the night: album, record and song of the year. Way to go, Bruno!

Performance

Pop singer Kesha gave an emotional performance of her single ‘Praying’ as she was joined on stage by Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Andra Day, Julia Michaels and Bebe Rexha and the Resistance Revival Chorus. Kesha’s song marked her first release of new music in four years after a legal battle with Dr. Luke for allegations that he drugged, emotionally abused and sexually assaulted her.

Politics

Hillary Clinton trolled Trump in a surprise pre-recorded appearance as she read excerpts from Michael Wolff’s ‘Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House’ alongside Cher, Snoop Dog, Cardi B, John Legend and DJ Khaled.
