Feathers and glitter at The Brits 2018

Feathers and glitter seem to be go-to this year at the BRITs, but what tipped the scales and who wore it best? No matter the outfits... the girl power blossomed tonight with many of the woman gracing the red carpet carrying a white rose supporting the powerful #MeToo movement.

Feathers

Rita Ora

Her dazzling Ralph & Russo couture dress floated down the red carpet. It’s all feathers and thrills here. I feel 1920s vibes – I hope they’ll be partying like Jay Gatsby. I love how the baby curls contrast well the fluffy feathers.

Holly Willoughby

Besides feathers, many blazer dresses took to the BRITs floor this year. Holly was right on trend with this classy dress paired with a black strappy heel. I wonder if she will be wearing the same outfit on the This Morning sofa!

Amber Davies

This pocket rocket wears a simple yet elegant monotone David Koma cocktail dress. that echoes that 60s Twiggy style. We love the feather tassel detail with the statement button detail.

Dua Lipa

The winner of British Female and British Breakthrough Act stunned the carpet with this elaborate fairy tale frock. Although it’s not feathery, the puffy frills have a very similar vibe. After all... I couldn’t exclude this reigning Queen of pop.

Glitter

Paloma Faith

The woman known for her continuously loud BRIT awards outfits has wowed us again with this one-sleeve glittery gown. She makes a glamorous galactic statement with her bold up-do and mega platforms.

Tallia Storm

Pink and red are the harmonious colours of the moment and Tallia isn’t one to shy away from this clash. She twizzled on the carpet in a Dolce & Gabbana mermaid tail gown. I love her modest centre-parting styled with the vintage-style jewelled headband.

Montana Brown

The second Love Island star to pull out all the stops last night. This two-tone dusky pink Elisabetta Franchi dress shimmered against Montana’s beautiful skin – it was made for her. I’m so in love with the chic Dior-esque corset detail.

Maya Jama

This pink glitter-bomb Henry Holland dress is so funky. The A-line skirt, the flared arms, the shoulder pads, the chunky belt... there are a lot of disco inferno feels going on here. Maya swapped Stormzy with Professor Green for the night to present on the red carpet. I’m jealous they got first look at all the fabulous outfits!

What an amazing night celebrating the best of British music. I have to say all the fluttery feathers won me over, it emphasised the soaring success of the artists who wore it. What did you prefer?
