Shamrocks, whiskey and parades? Together, they could only mean one thing… St. Patrick’s Day is upon us. This March, pay homage to the man, the myth, the legend who drove the snakes out of Ireland and declared we all drink in his honour (okay that last part may not be entirely true). With a whole host of bars, restaurants and clubs hosting events across the country, we’ve enlisted a little help from our pals at DesignMyNight, so you can find the perfect way to raise a glass.
A trendy bar, restaurant and cinema in Balham, The Exhibit is a London gem that loves any reason to have a party. With pizza, bottomless bubbles and cult classic movie The Crying Game all on offer for just £28, this is one quirky way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. While you’re there, why not stick around and see if you can belt out some B*Witched on the karaoke machine?
Join Midnight Apothecary for their eighth annual celebration of the Emerald Isle. You’ll get to cosy up by the roaring fire pit, sip hot toddies and ramble through an enchanting candle-lit roof garden (sounds like a gorgeous date night, right?). That’s not all though, as there’s going to be a wee singalong with a live band, botanical cocktails to warm your vocal chords and some top-notch street food to tuck into afterwards.
Why have one St. Patrick’s Day party when you can have five? And let’s face it, even Paddy himself would be very impressed by this epic pub crawl created by Simmon’s in his honour. For just £15 a ticket, you'll get plenty of bang for your buck, with entry to five bars around Camden, free shots, queue jumps, glow sticks, face painting and discounted pints of Guinness all before finishing off at one of London’s superclubs.

The fact that you can get a delicious two-course meal with bubbles and a show ticket for just £39 a pop.
We all know the Irish love their whiskey, so why not pay homage to St. Pads by taking part in an exclusive tasting session at Black Rock? For the gosh dram decent price of £15 a ticket, you’ll get to sample five different whiskies at one of London’s hottest bars. With its chic black interiors, 185-year old oak tree trunk acting as an interactive cocktail ageing system, and lack of formal bar, this is sure to be one for the social feeds.
Did you know The Piano Works is London’s only non-stop, audience-requested live music venue? Topping it all off? An exclusive beer from the team at White Hag.
Considering Waxy O’Connors is one of Manchester’s favourite Irish pubs, you’d expect some pretty big things when it comes to celebrating St. Patrick's Day Join them for what they’re calling their favourite day of the year, and you’ll get to boogie to live music, enter a few giveaways (and maybe score a few prizes), catch the Six Nations action and keep the party going ‘till late when the DJs take over.
Birmingham’s getting a slice of the action with this quirky fundraising event in St. Patrick’s honour. Celebrate the big man’s legacy with a trip to The Old Crown and you’ll get to catch not one, but three Six Nations matches, all projected on the huge 12 ft outdoor screen. There will also be live music from Irish musicians Goats Don't Shave, a heated marquee and a rather mysterious-sounding Guinness village.
