Although freshers is pitched as period of full-on partying and socialising, let’s face it, most of the time will be spent napping and trying to watch as many series as possible. These series are best for binge-watching for different reasons so check out our list!

1. Game of Thrones

If you haven’t immersed yourself in the world of Westeros yet, now is the perfect time to do so because everyone is eagerly awaiting the final season. Even if you’ve seen it all before, GoT is one of those shows where you can watch it again and again and spot new things all the time.

Donald Glover’s wonderful comedy-drama is clever and funny in equal measure. There are only 2 seasons to get through but it is PEAK Donald Glover, and what better way to spend your time than watching the man of the moment on screen? GIF source

4. Peaky Blinders

By order of the Peaky Blinders, you need to watch this. This Birmingham-based gangster period drama is full of action so you won’t lose your way when binge-watching. GIF source

5. Parks and Recreation

This is probably the easiest show to watch on this list. It is full of hilarious moments and will a wonderful all-star cast including Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt you’re in for a treat! GIF source

6. Breaking Bad

This was one of the first series that became a binge-watch sensation. If you missed the boat with this one, it’s time to give it a watch! GIF source

7. Love Island

8. Asian Provocateur

Comedian, Romesh Ranganathan is laugh out loud funny, in this series. The real star of the show is his um Shanti, so make sure you keep an eye out for her appearances! GIF source

9. Black Mirror

The show everyone talks about! If you want to get in on the action make sure you’ve caught up with all the seasons. You might want to break this one up with some Love island eps as things can get quite intense! GIF source

10. All the Netflix Marvel series

Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, The Defenders. There’s plenty to get through here and they’ve all been really well received so take your pick of the bunch OR watch them all back to back! GIF source
