5 summer skirts you need in your life

Skirts are a summer essential and now that June is almost upon us, we thought we’d share some of our favourites.

1. Frill skirt

This one’s definitely more of a holiday purchase but it’ll come in handy for those weird heat waves we keep getting in the UK too. Throw on a pair of pumps, a plain white tee and a denim jacket and take advantage of the opportunity to wear something bold, bright and out there while you still can!

2. Embroidered denim mini skirt

A denim skirt is a staple all year-round but the embroidered flowers on this mini make it a little more summer season appropriate. It’ll still work with tights and boots come winter... making it a worthwhile investment piece.

3. Denim midi skirt

Button-down midis seem to be the theme of this summer season – they’re everywhere. New Look have gone classy with an off-white, denim fabric and tortoise shell buttons that make this one look a lot more expensive than it actually is.

4. Polka dot mini skirt

This polka dot mini is a great day to night piece for summer. The colour and pattern make it a little more formal than some of the other skirts on this list and it’s such a steal at just £15!

5. A-Line mini skirt

Between tassels, embroidery and beading, this River Island number from ASOS is a statement skirt if ever we’ve seen one. Let the skirt steal the show and go with a plain blouse up top or clash a couple of prints like RI have done here to make a real impact.
