5 Spring Break Work-Cramming Tips

With Spring Break nearly upon us and your to do-list gradually building up, now is the time to do some serious cramming. Of course, it’s still important that you take your work seriously and don’t rush it, so I have rounded up my top 5 tips for getting the most out of any pre-Spring Break study sesh.

Plan, Plan, Plan!

Making a plan is one of the best ways to keep yourself focused and on-track with your study. If you have a clear start and end point, you’re much more likely to stick to it and actually get stuff done. When you’re making a plan, be sure to filter in frequent breaks and topic changes, as overworking yourself or sticking on the same subject for too long is probably worse than not doing anything at all.

Get The Area Right

Now, if you’re serious about your studying, setting up camp in your bedroom probably isn’t the best idea. There’s bound to be lots of distractions and you can’t expect the world to stop just because you need a bit of peace and quiet. One of the best places to study is at a desk in an area which is quiet and has minimal distractions.

Study Materials

Making sure you’ve got all the proper equipment to actually study is pretty important, and who doesn’t love stationery anyway? You can save 10% at Urban Outfitters using your UNiDAYS® college discount so things like this Gel Pen Box Set and this Productivity Planner can be all yours. Hello seriously pretty notes! Also, with your discount you can save 10% on the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 which can become your best friend for all things revision.

Turn It Off!

When it comes to studying, most people get distracted by their cell phones or tablets so they lose concentration. If this is you, either turn it off or you can download apps which enable you to cut off social media whilst you’re studying so you’re not tempted. Social media can wait, a study-free Spring Break can’t!

What Works For YOU?

My last point is all based around you. If you want to get the most out of your study time, then it’s important to know exactly how you work and what the best ways are to get information from paper into your brain. There are tonnes of tests online where you can find out what kind of learner you are, whether that be visual, kinesthetic, auditory etc. and you can go from there with your work. The secret is to work smarter, not harder.
