In order to be bored, you have to be boring
So are you just going to sit there on your butt? Or are you going to get up and do something? Just because you are home alone doesn’t mean you have to be sitting there like a bump on a log bored out of your mind. There are a ton of things to do, complete, or start without being bored. I am going to list 10 things that can spark your fancy and allow you to enjoy some personal time without being accompanied by someone.
1. Create a Vision Board
So many of us have short and long term goals. Why not grab a couple of magazines, newspapers, and objects to create a vision that describes how you want to see your future. If major companies like Rag & Bone are doing it, why shouldn't you?
2. Start a DIY Project
You know that old end table that you've been dying to throw away? Well, instead get some paint and fabric to revamp it. You can definitely turn something old to a new modern piece!
3. Read a Novel
Lay back, kick your feet up, turn on some soothing jazz, and read a new novel of your choice. You'll get to explore new lands, learn a lot about people and get so wrapped up in the characters you might get a chance to finish the whole book if you're lucky!
4. Go to a Museum
Museums are great places to go to enhance your knowledge of art and culture. In the process, you'll end up meeting so many people that share in your creativity and love the idea of museum hopping on the weekends. But in the meantime, soak in the beauty all on your own.
5. Go to the Spa
Busy work week? Is school kicking your butt? Is bae acting up? Why not do yourself a favor and take care of you. Go to the spa and allow someone to take care of you for a change. Get pampered with massages, facials, and mani/pedis, I guarantee your stress will decrease immensely. In the event that you're broke, why not try an at-home spa day? HELLO REN Skincare!
6. Go Shopping
Your direct deposit just hit, why not cash out a bit. You've worked hard for your coins; why not buy those shoes you've been eyeing for the past few weeks. Obviously, it's a great way to enhance your wardrobe and have some quality time with yourself.
7. Work on that Summer Bod
Skinny fit tea is not going to do the job for you. Don't go wasting that gym membership! Working out is great to do by yourself.
8. Meal Prep for the Week
Since you are trying to get that summer bod in shape, exercising is one thing, but eating properly is one of the main things that will enhance your body goals. Stirring your own pot is great to do alone. Why not add a little protein into the mix?
9. Go to the Beach
Slide on your bikini and hit the waves or do something active like riding a bike or rollerblading down the boardwalk. Cooler weather at night calls for a blanket and a cozy sweater. Hey, bring that book!
10. Take a Bubble Bath
Run hot water, lite some scented candles, sprinkle some rose petals, drop a bath bomb and soak in peace. Bubble baths are such a great way to unwind and be in tune with you.
See! I told you there are plenty that you can do on your own and still have fun while doing it. It’s very important to spend quality time with yourself. Not only do you really not need anyone else to have fun, but each moment you spend alone gets you a bit closer to finding out who you really are.
