The Brit Awards: 7 iconic outfits

Awards season is now well and truly in full swing and it’s not long now until the 2018 Brit Awards are upon us. It is predicted to be a night to remember with an incredible line-up of live performances from Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Foo Fighters, Stormzy, Jorja Smith, Rag'n'Bone Man and Rita Ora. The biggest night for music in the UK will take place on 21st February at the O2 Arena in London. The awards are to be hosted by comedy fave Jack Whitehall.

As we prepare for this years Brit Awards, it’s time to look back at some of the most iconic outfits of previous years.

1. Lady Gaga 2010

No list of crazy outfits is complete without an appearance of Lady Gaga, surely?! Candy floss, tiered wedding cake or Christmas tree fairy… I’m not sure where the inspiration has come from for this fancy little number but it definitely caught everyone’s attention back in 2010.

2. Rihanna 2011

Keeping it classy in a red and white floral dress, Rihanna left the revealing outfit for her live performance as she graced the red carpet in more formal attire.

3. Adele 2016

In 2016 Adele graced us with a stunning live performance of ‘When We Were Young’ as well as a glittery mid-length Valentino dress. Colourful and glowing, Adele was beaming from ear to ear by the end of the night after picking up four awards.

4. Cara Delevingne 2015

Back in 2015 Cara mixed things up and opted for a shirt and trouser combination working a chic boyfriend look.

5. Beyonce 2014

When does Beyonce not look flawless? Seriously. This turquoise figure-hugging sparkly dress complimented her curvy frame perfectly. Featuring sheer panels on the sleeves and the back, with over 400,000 crystals Queen Bey definitely looked the part.

6. Ellie Goulding 2014

Definitely not one of her best looks, in fact, I’m not too sure what her stylist was thinking here at all. With her hair in a messy braid and princess dress Ellie looks more like Cinderella in rags than Cinderella that went to the ball.

7. Katy Perry 2009

Wearing shiny black leggings and a hello kitty corset, this look is definitely far from the usual red carpet attire.
