The top 10 bars serving £6 cocktails throughout October

After a mad year of Hokey Pokey-ing between locking ourselves inside and heading out (more than was probably necessary) for Eat Out To Help Out, wouldn’t it be great if we had the same concept, but with cocktails? Well, lucky for those of you based in London, it actually exists, and it’s called London Cocktail Week. That’s right - you can revisit your favourite bars (plus hundreds more) for discount cocktails throughout October, and DesignMyNight have kindly given us their top 10 to hit first.

The Last Tuesday Society

Serving as a gothic treasure trove of all things weird and wonderful, The Last Tuesday Society is a bucket list bar for curious imbibers. A festival wristband scores you an absinthe milk punch to sip on as you explore the wonders of London’s quirkiest den, laden with questionable bits and bobs, from countless skulls to a taxidermy top hat-wearing lioness. And if that’s still too PC for your liking, try braving the underground museum, housing all sorts of shocking artifacts (think two headed kittens, and condoms used by the Rolling Stones).

The Prince

London’s biggest and most beautiful beer garden is also jumping on the boozy bandwagon in celebration of London’s best cocktails this October. Be sure to free up some space on your camera roll, as this wisteria-covered beauty is one to be snapped. The heated pergola will be pouring £6 Casa Calientes, a punchy mix of tequila, red chillies and raspberry powder. Be prepared to face a pretty tough decision when it’s time to choose your booze soaker; street food-style grub on offer includes anything from Korean chicken wings to fancy lobster rolls.

Little Bat

A little bar with a big personality? We’re of course referring to Angel’s hidden gem, Little Bat. Brought to you by the team behind Callooh Callay (a haunt often celebrated as one of London’s best bars), this intimate hangout is the place to go for delicious drinks in a stylish setting. Giving off vintage library and eclectic museum vibes, settle in for a cosy sesh fuelled by their Auld Alliance cocktail, featuring chocolate bitters and ginger ale.

Little Orange Door

As the newest addition to London’s collection of flatshare-themed bars, The Little Orange Door are giving guests the chance to drink £6 Monkey Shoulder whisky cocktails in the comfort of their humble abode. The stylish spot - usually known for its party-style bottomless brunches - is kitted out with a living room housing retro video games, a kooky library and the kitchen of your dreams. Yes, you will want to move in, and no, they’re not currently accepting new tenants.

Flight Club Islington

As an activity bar that’s taken London by storm (and given the game of darts a whole new lease of life), it’s only right that they’re involved in the biggest month in the cocktail calendar. Flight Club’s newest site in Islington is giving us Victorian fairground vibes with its interiors, serving as a quirky contrast to the concept bar’s high-tech dart boards. Get competitive at the oche with a variety of games played through the electronic board, and drink to good times with an aptly named Social Darts Spritz.

Pergola Olympia

It’s always a starry night at this leafy oasis, and that’s thanks to the heavenly fairy lit ceiling, but nights spent at Pergola Olympia will also be particularly busy this October thanks to their £6 cocktail offering. It’s spicy sips all round at this sky-high jungle with a chilli-based blend, and there will be plenty of street food on offer to help put the fire in your mouth out, thanks to smoked brisket buns, fried chicken burgers and Japanese dumplings.

London Cocktail Club Clapham

A bar dedicated to your favourite Hollywood blockbusters? Yeah, London’s got one of those. Sitting discreetly on the buzzing Clapham High Street is the bar’s boldest venture yet, boasting interiors you may recognise from the likes of Titanic, Star Wars and Pulp Fiction. Staying true to theme, London Cocktail Club are serving up Big Lebowski cocktails this October, containing Jagermeister cold brew and garnished with a Bounty chocolate bar. Wanna get boozy in the Millennium Falcon? Drink away your sorrows in Rose’s upper class cabin? This is the place for you.

Eve Bar

As far as brooding biblical-themed basement bars go, this one is certainly on the more inviting end of the spectrum. Effortlessly giving its dramatic theme a stylish twist, Eve Bar’s subterranean hideaway is tempting imbibers with a sinfully good Roku Umeshu mixing Roku gin with green Chartreuse and maraschino liqueur. Whether you’re getting tipsy or sticking to Sober October with a non-alcoholic maple salted negroni, get ready to lose track of time in their ivy covered nook before a reluctant return to the earthly realm.

Nightjar

Can you ever go wrong with after-uni drinks at an award-winning speakeasy cocktail bar (especially when said drinks are only £6 a pop)? The expert mixologists at Nightjar are showing us what they’re made of with their London Cocktail Week offering. The Improved Sidecar is a mix of forbidden fruit liqueur, citrus juices and Moët & Chandon Champagne, crafted to absolute perfection. When you’re not marvelling at the work of pure genius going on behind the bar, soothe your soul with some live jazz and make sure to grab one more sip before the clock strikes 10.

Lost Boys Pizza

When this quirky spot isn’t serving up the best (and only) vampire-themed pizzas in town, they’re whipping up scary good cocktails that complement their 80s horror movie-inspired interiors. Stealing the spotlight from their bottomless cinema nights and black charcoal slices, their £6 signature sip will be bringing in the cocktail-loving crowds. While the details of the allusive potion are unknown, if their themed cocktail menu, featuring sage and pineapple daiquiris and a Smirnoff ice and absinthe concoction is anything to go by, expect big things.
