6 artists you should be listening to right now

With the BRITS tomorrow, you may see names popping up that you haven’t heard of, or maybe you just want to refresh your favourite playlist. Either way, we’ve got some of the best artists you should be listening to right now:

1. Dave

What a year it’s been for Dave. In the last half of 2017, Dave released his EP entitled Game Over, which was a huge critical success. His tracks cover everything from politics to sex and relationships, and it’s this emotional and honest style which has gained him a huge following. All this and he’s just 19 yeard old! You can listen to his EP below:

2. Loyle Carner

Loyle Carner’s debut album Yesterday’s Gone was released in 2017 and was nominated for a Mercury Prize. His confessional hip-hop style and laid back bars are easy listening, but that doesn’t take away from his intricate and emotional lyrics. Check out his album here:

3. Sigrid

Winner of BBC’s ‘Sound of 2018’ Sigrid only started making music 4 years ago! This Norwegian musician has already made big waves in the music world and at only 21 we know there’s a lot more coming her way! Listen to her single ‘Strangers’ to get a feel for her style:

4. Billie Eilish

American singer-songwriter Billie Elish has been in the business for a long time despite her only being 16! Her breakout song Ocean Eyes was streamed over 35 million times on Spotify and she’s been going from strength to strength ever since. Check out her debut album Don’t Smile at Me:

5. Alma

You’ve probably already heard Alma’s radio hit ‘Chasing Highs’ but that’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this upcoming star! This Finnish pop singer has a gift for making tunes that get stuck in your head and we are loving her vocals.

6. Rex Orange County

Rex Orange County aka 19-year-old Alex O’Connor may already be a name you’ve heard. He’s played live with Frank Ocean and Skepta and you may have seen his name on Tyler, the Creators new album. Have a listen to his latest album Apricot Princess:
